Their Quest for 20,000 Teammates Starts Right Here

We just uploaded our first Carry the Weight video -- a recap of week ONE. What a roller coaster!

To kick things off, Josh reflects on the near-impossible task of building a bike that honors 250 years of military history. It’s not just a bike — it’s a lot more personal. Watching the town hall footage and learning what was said about disabled veterans lit a fire and he wants to make sure this bike carries the right message.

Mark shares that he finally feels like he has something to dedicate his time, training and suffering to. (We're really freaking glad it's us.) You can almost feel the pain of those early morning workouts through the screen. And he's just getting started.

Noah talks about the YouTube debacle that was our campaign launch (oops), how we plan to move forward, and why we decided to call our donors "teammates".

Behind the Scenes of Carry the Weight Week One

Launching this campaign on YouTube has been one giant learning curve. And starting this alongside a national campaign? It's a lot.

Every day we’re drafting storylines, filming, editing, re-editing, and figuring out what works (and what doesn’t). We’re watching our subscriber and view counts like hawks, because our campaign success depends on how many people we can reach. If people don’t see us, they can’t help us carry the weight.

We’re not where we want to be yet with teammate signups, but it’s early.

We’ve got 23 weeks to go.
