    The Oscar Mike Foundation was created by injured veterans, for injured veterans. We know what it is like to have your world end where the pavement ends, or the need to have special equipment or environmental adaptation to participate in certain activities. If this describes you then you have come to the right place!

    Our clinics focus on providing adaptive activities for veterans with physical disabilities or mental disabilities resulting in mobility challenges.

    MISSION STATEMENT

    To see all injured veterans with the means and opportunity to get and to stay on the move in all aspects of life. Challenging and therapeutic activities provide the catalyst which improves overall well-being including mental health and self-esteem, community re-entry and readjustment.

    Qualifying primary disabilities include:

    • Spinal Cord Injuries
    • Multiple Sclerosis
    • Traumatic Brain Injury
    • CVA with Residual
    • Orthopedic Amputations / Limb Salvage
    • Visual Impairments

    Common primary disabilities that do not qualify include:

    • Low Back Pain
    • Degenerative Joint Disease
    • Osteoarthritis
    • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
    • Chronic Pain

    Our clinics in Illinois focus on adrenaline inducing and challenging activities and our Colorado program has a very low-key vibe.

    Each clinic offers a 5-day event. We take care of all travel, lodging and food.

    The Illinois clinic offers flight lessons, target shooting, off-roading, equine therapy, kayaking/paddle boarding, handcycling and skydiving.

    The Colorado clinic offers remote camping in Rocky Mountain National Park with unparalleled hiking trails, crystal blue lakes, waterfalls and serene nature. In a chair - We don’t care - you will have an unforgettable experience!
