WEEK FIVE

We've been thinking a lot about independence - and how sometimes you gotta be a little crazy to do epic stuff. You know, like starting a war with the British empire so you and all your buddies can be free. 

We're no history experts, but we've been told that the Army, Navy and Marines were started in a bar in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1775. Those guys volunteered to fight for the mere *idea* of a country that didn't even exist yet. 

Fast forward to 2025. This year marks 250 years of military service in our country. And we couldn't be prouder of all the men and women that have gone before us, and the ones that will rise to the occasion in the future.

This week, we spend some time getting to know Josh Allison, owner of American Metal Customs. He's the master bike builder volunteering his time and talent to help raise awareness for our Carry the Weight campaign by handcrafting a bike that will honor every one of those two hundred and fifty years.

Who is he? What is his process? How most importantly, why is he helping us?
