This week, Mark and Josh are grinding behind the scenes, so we decided to pull back the curtain on what happens at the Oscar Mike Compound —

all the crazy stuff that makes our insurance agents sweat.

Flying airplanes, jumping out of airplanes, driving ATVs, range time, adaptive kayaking and horseback riding, and an adaptive triathlon, just to name a few.

In a nutshell, we pack all the things that make you feel alive again after a life changing injury or illness into just five days, and surround you with people who have chewed the same dirt. The injured and disabled veterans that visit the Oscar Mike Compound leave with a new family - and a new lease on life.

And that's exactly why we need to build a bigger campus - so we can make this a reality for everyone who needs it.

We took the mission to D.C.

In addition to our search for teammates to help us Carry the Weight, we're also on the hunt for corporate partners and really smart people to help make the campus the best it can be. So, Oscar Mike veterans traveled to Washington, D.C. to try to get the world's biggest tech companies to join the team.

Microsoft hosted us at their Policy & Innovation Center and we filled the room with people from Meta, Google, Intel, Cushman & Wakefield, JP Morgan, and Gensler. Senator Tammy Duckworth and Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Doug Collins were also in the room. No big deal, right?

We showed up in force with the Oscar Mike Militia, the country's only all-veteran wheelchair rugby team.

    The End of Disability

It was a quick trip and Noah spent most of it in the hotel room writing an epic speech on "the end of disability", as the event was titled.
